Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between kiln-dried and air-dried?

Kiln-dried timber has its moisture content brought down in a kiln to a controlled target, which is what European flooring and joinery specs usually call for. Air-dried timber dries naturally over time and works fine for structural or construction-grade orders that don’t need that level of control.

Can you cut to a custom dimension?

Yes. Give us the thickness, width and length you need and we’ll confirm yield and lead time before you commit to a volume, rather than quoting off a generic size list.

Is there a minimum order for sawn timber?

Full containers are the standard order, but LCL (consolidated) volumes are available for species and timing that allow it. Ask and we’ll say plainly whether your volume works as a standalone shipment.
